24-hour support – The Granite House offers 24-hour support for our residents who are in crisis. Residents can either contact one of the House Managers or Owner for any reason at times of emergency
12-step meetings – The local community offers hundreds of 12-step meetings that are accessible by foot, bike, and car.
Exercise & Gym Membership – As a resident of The Granite House you are provided a membership to Planet Fitness and allotted time to work out on a daily basis.
Meditation – Each morning residents are required to be awake and participate in our morning meditation and goals group. Meditation is also brought up and talked about in other groups. It is extremely important for an individual to get connected and centered before starting the day.
Paintball – As a good community building activity The Granite House residents and alumni go paint balling every month at NH Indoor Paintball.
One-on-one 12-step sessions – This is done with an individuals sponsor. The Granite House will assist each resident in choosing a sponsor who can guide them in the 12-step process and help to integrate them in the recovery community.
Sports – Weekly The Granite House hosts an indoor sporting event for all residents and alumni at Sports Zone. This varies week to week and includes flag football, soccer, kickball, basketball, etc.
Yoga – The Granite House offers yoga on site facilitated by Self Awakenings Yoga Studio. Also, as a resident you can attend any class at the studio free of charge. We see yoga as a solid building block for developing a personal practice of daily self-care, self-worth and nurturing. A consistent practice of yoga, in concert with the other solid tools available through the Granite House, will go a long way in helping residents live a life free of dependency on drugs and alcohol.
Meal Plan – The Granite House offers a meal plan for our residents. The food is designed by a Master Chief and a Nutritionist and prepared by Rig-A –Tony’s Restaurant. There are many different items our resident can choose, the plan includes a dinner and lunch each day for $10. This is an additional cost to the residents.
Medication Management – When residents are on numerous medications or can not be trusted to take there medications our staff has set up a strict program to help the resident manage the medication.
Money Management – A program to hold an “account” in the house bank and distribute money in small amounts daily or weekly.
Continued Education Counseling – We encourage anyone of our residents that wish to enroll in continued education to do so. To assist in the process we offer continued education counseling that can be done with our Program Director. The resident must sign up for these activities.
Employment Counseling – Employment counseling and resume building can be done with our Program Director weekly.
